An enterprise design system
Designed and coded a comprehensive design system that enables developers and designers across internal Accenture to build applications quickly, cost-effectively, and adapt easily to change.
Due to the nature of this work, I'm unable to share visuals publicly — happy to walk through it live.
Problem
Accenture's "design system" was a neglected Figma UI kit — every team hand-coded components themselves, duplicating effort and drifting from accessibility standards.
Approach
Designed and coded a real plug-and-play system: a Figma library backed by an installable React Aria/React/Tailwind package.
Impact
Less duplicated work, faster stand-up for new internal products, with accessibility and light/dark modes built in.
Background
Components existed only as design files, so every team hand-coded them for their own applications. Teams often needed extra designers just to patch gaps, and modified components in ways that fragmented consistency across products.
What I created
Working with other designers, product owners, and developers, I built a modern, accessible system — designed in Figma, developed with React Aria, React, and Tailwind.
- Available as both a Figma library and an installable package hosted on AWS
- Headless UI (React Aria) under the hood for built-in accessibility
- Refreshed visual language — softer purples, better readability, light/dark modes
Value add
- Reduction of duplicative design and development effort
- Less time spent standing up a new internal product
- Continuity between internal applications and products
- Accessible, responsive UI elements that fit any product and user audience
- An updated, sleek, and simple design featuring softer purples, better readability, more accessible fonts, and light/dark color modes
